What does being a creative mean to me?
To me, being creative is about transforming an idea into an experience that resonates—whether through animation, immersive environments, or storytelling. It is the thrill of exploring imagination without limits, the ability to evoke emotion and forge meaningful connections with audiences, and the drive to push the boundaries of both technology and narrative. Creativity is my way of inspiring wonder, sparking joy, and leaving a lasting impact through story.
As an Animator and Animation Production Manager at Crafty Apes VFX, I both create and oversee high-quality animation for feature films, episodics, and special projects, including Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, The Creator, Violent Night, The Last of Us Season 1, and Shadow and Bone Season 2. In my production management role, I coordinate team resourcing, scheduling, and workflow, leveraging tools such as Autodesk Flow Production Tracking, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite to ensure efficiency and seamless collaboration. As an animator, I bring characters and scenes to life, creating hand-keyed animation and motion capture clean-up that adhere to storytelling, motion principles, and visual continuity. My formal training includes a BFA in Animation from SCAD and a Character Animation Certificate from Animation Mentor, giving me a strong foundation in both technical and creative expertise.
In addition to my studio experience, I have contributed as a freelance 3D animator, creating projects like the promo for Run Totti Run, directed by Shad Bradbury, and animating for the short film Little Fan, directed by Sveta Yuferova. I thrive in collaborative environments, combining technical skill, storytelling, and visual creativity to bring characters and experiences to life.
Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Themed Experience at the University of Central Florida, where I am expanding my creative expertise beyond animation into conceptual design, immersive experience creation, and project management. I love working with concept art and visual development, exploring how story, design, and technology intersect to craft environments that transport audiences. This program allows me to blend my passion for storytelling, animation, and guest experience with practical skills in scheduling, resource planning, and operations, preparing me to create themed entertainment that is both imaginative and operationally sound. I am excited to push the boundaries of immersive storytelling and design experiences that engage audiences emotionally, visually, and physically.
